Coach Sade Pugh is a 2007 graduate of W.J. Keenan High School. While at W.J. Keenan, she was a 4 year letterman for the Lady Raiders in Volleyball and Track and Field. She earned numerous athletic awards, including 2A Female Athlete of the Year for Track and Field. Coach Pugh was a dual-sport athlete at South Carolina State University, competing successfully on the volleyball and track and field teams. She graduated with her Bachelor’s of Science in Physical Education and a Masters of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling. Coach Pugh is currently employed as a Counselor II for SC Vocational Rehabilitation.
Coach Pugh has been coaching varsity volleyball for six years. She also coaches club volleyball for Lake Murray Volleyball Club and has recently founded her own club, Soda City Volleyball. Coach Pugh’s coaching philosophy is centered around mental toughness, the desire to compete and building character. She strongly believes that life lessons are taught through athletics and she hopes to touch as many young lives as possible through coaching.
